Real Steel = Rocky with Robots?

This movie was very interesting because of the great story that just comes along with it. The Rocky movies were great examples of the comeback kid and underdog storyline. The fighting scenes in the Rocky were great examples of cinematography of fight scenes, the first steady-cam was invented on the set. This is important to note due to the parallels of the boxing and ring scenes. Real Steel, is the story of a man down on his luck in the robot fighting game who has to take responsibility of the son he abandoned. They are able to dig up a bot, Atom, they are able to win fights until they get the championship fight. In the championship fight they fight the champion, Zeus, to the limit and come out on the bottom. This movie was surprisingly good for the whole Rock'em Sock'em Robots idea. The actors Hugh Jackman, Charlie Kenton, and Dakota Goyo, Max Kenton, were very believable as son and father because of their performances. The effects were spot on in terms of realism and no excess CGI. The overall review is great story however just to kiddish for it to be a serious action/drama. I would suggest renting this movie for families because the rewatchability is just not there.
